The gallery for this gorgeous wedding landed in my inbox recently and I knew I just had to write a blog about it. The lovely Helen & Sean were married at the stunning Silchester Farm in Berkshire last September on a beautifully sunny day and from the looks of their wedding gallery, they had the most wonderful day! This venue is the ultimate in modern barn luxury; a stunning rural retreat, nestled in the Berkshire countryside.
I first met this lovely couple at a wedding showcase back in 2022 and soon afterwards, they booked me for their wedding cake after loving the designs on show and in particular, my sugar flowers. They wanted a modern but timeless design and were keen to incorporate a display of sugar flowers that complimented their fresh flowers and the colour palette for the day. After a design consultation, I sketched some options and they settled on a modern but timeless 3 tier white cake, adorned with sugar flower roses and peonies in blush and toffee tones with an abundance of sugar foliage.
They had an abundance of florals styled throughout the day from a beautiful floral arch in their ceremony room and stunning low posies on the reception tables in nude, blush and toffee tones.
Twinkling lights adorned the barn for Helen and Sean’s ceremony, after which guests enjoyed outdoor games in the beautiful grounds of Silchester, before tucking into a delicious wedding breakfast in The Cow Shed.
