Stylish fusion wedding at luxury Cotswolds venue – Primrose Hill Farm

Where do I begin with Penny and Aman’s gorgeous fusion wedding this summer?! There is so much to pack into this blog as every detail from this beautiful day was so thoughtfully planned out to ensure both the bride and groom’s cultures were represented amongst their traditional English wedding day.

Penny and Aman’s day started with a Chinese tea ceremony at the gorgeous Aynhoe Park – a tradition that was originally designed to introduce the bride and grooms family to each other. It was a wonderfully colourful affair with the couple both wearing traditional red attire.

Next came the wonderful Indian baraat procession ( including a horse!) to pay homage to the grooms heritage. A baraat is a wedding tradition in Indian and Pakastani weddings that escorts the groom to the ceremony, with the word ‘baraat’ literally meaning “a marriage procession”. Also an incredibly colourful and lively affair with many guests waving coloured smoke bombs, playing instruments and dancing.

The couple then moved on to their traditional English wedding ceremony at the beautiful Primrose Hill Farm, with the groom changing into black tie attire and the bride in a stunning, fitted Anna Georgina gown.

The post ceremony celebrations moved outside to the stunning grounds of Primrose Hill Farm, offering panoramic views of the Cotswold countryside. Guests were treated to live music and fresh oysters!

The bride and groom then had the opportunity to get a first look at their reception dinner setup and it was nothing short of breathtaking! Long trestle tables adorned with candles, delicate floral displays and elegant crockery and cutlery, dominated the room. Their wedding cake took centre stage at one end of the room, with gorgeous floral displays and a relaxed seating area at the other.

Penny & Aman opted for a petite 2 tier cake and wanted texture and blush tones to be incorporated in the design. Their bottom tier was covered with wafer, sugar paper and fondant sails in blush tones. These ‘sails’ continued to partially cover their top tier. They choose to treat their guests to Coconut, Passionfruit & Lime, as well as Chocolate Praline Crunch for their cake flavours.

The festivities continued into the evening with a disco and DJ – the perfect end to a wonderful day!
