Show-stopper 5 tier blush wedding cake with sugar flowers for a luxury Berkshire mansion house wedding

I first met Alicia and Matt and their very cute little boy, Hudson at Easthampstead Park where I was showcasing some of my cake designs. They were such a friendly family and were so complimentary about my designs, which really reflected what they wanted from a wedding cake: stature, impact, modern with beautiful sugar flowers. There wedding plans sounded beautiful – elegant and romantic but a lot of fun!

I met with Alicia and her mum for a design and tasting consultation to discuss the plans for her cake in more detail. Alicia wanted a large ‘show-stopper’ cake as she had a large wedding party to cater for and chose 4 delicious flavours: raspberry and white chocolate, chocolate orange, passionfruit and lime and lemon and elderflower. Alicia told me all about the beautiful florals and decorative elements she had planned for their special day and the colour theme or blush tones. I sketched some designs for Alicia with a mix of 4 and 5 tier option’s and received some amazing feedback – I had hit the brief! Alicia chose a design option which featured 5 tiers, one of which they wanted to keep for themselves to enjoy in the days after the wedding. The design featured differing heights for some tiers to add interest to the design. Delicate blush and white sugar flowers were nestled into different areas of the cake with two tiers featuring sparkling blush edible confetti. Towards the top of the cake, a tall tier featured the couples initials in metallic rose gold.

The cake was placed on a clear perspex stand by Prop Options and stood next to the ornate fireplace in the ballroom of Easthampstead Park by their top table.

I received some lovely feedback from Aliica and Matt after their special day, which I was truly humbled by:

“Just to say a huge thank you for our amazing wedding cake! What a showstopper!! Everyone was so impressed with it, it was just perfect! Thank you so much xxx”

Thank you so much Alicia and Matt; I felt privileged to be a small part of your big day and wish you a lifetime of happiness. See below for lots more beautiful images captured by Cris Kemp Photography!
