I met the wonderful Christie & Henry after their florist, Seventh Heaven Events referred them to me. During their floral consultation, Christie and her mum shared an image of a cake design they loved to Linda and she immediately suggested the couple get in touch with me as the design reflected the style of cake I love to make.
The design in question was the beautiful ‘The Soul’ by the incredibly talented Olivia of A Cake Story. The couple loved the minimalist nature of the design and the way the design created movement and texture. They also loved the tall, narrow tiers featured in many of the cakes in my gallery, so we combined the two to create a cake design totally bespoke to them.
The cake took centre stage at the foot of the grand staircase at the beautiful Hedsor House. A stunning display of white florals featuring beautiful David Austin roses and an abundance of foliage framed the cake table, creating a real centre piece.
Christie and Henry treated their guests to some truly delicious and traditional flavours; a vanilla sponge with Swiss meringue buttercream and strawberry jam and a rich Chocolate mud cake with white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream. They also ordered my luxury chocolate fruit cake to keep and enjoy on their first wedding anniversary.
