Like many couples, Brittany & Charlie choose a beautiful UK venue to say ‘I Do’. They and their bridal party flew all the way from Denver this Autumn to get married at the stunning Syon Park; the London residence of the Duke of Northumberland and a highly sought after wedding venue.
The couple’s civil ceremony took place in the impressive Great Hall, adorned with gorgeous floral arrangements in white, deep red and an abundance of foliage. The bride walked down the aisle to meet her future husband in a stunning, shimmering mermaid style gown. Their reception followed in the spectacular Great Conservatory at Syon; a space adorned with palm trees, exotic flowers and trees, blending the inside and outside. The room took on a classically elegant look with a mix of tall and low floral displays in the middle of each table in the same colour palette as their ceremony, with the deep red roses a nod to the changing season of Autumn.
During my initial consultation with the bride, her mother and their wonderful planner, Sophie Amor, it was clear that Brittany was keen to have a modern, minimalist cake design. She had been drawn to a design entitled ‘The Soul’ by the incredibly talented A Cake Story – a contemporary, all white design with a sense of movement to it. I adapted the design so that it was a bespoke design for my couple and so that it catered for their guest numbers (they were serving the cake as dessert so it needed to be quite a large cake!). After receiving their tasting box (which was shipped all the way from London to Denver!) and sampling some of my flavours, they chose to treat their guests to Strawberry Champagne. Their cake stood tall and proud next to their sweetheart table in their reception.
After being treated to a delicious meal by their caterers, Caper & Berry and devouring their cake for dessert, Brittany & Charlie and their guests enjoyed an evening full of music and celebration.
Following their wedding, I received these very kind words from their planner, Sophie Amor:
“I just wanted to send you an email to say a HUGE thank you for your incredible cake on Saturday for Brittany and Charlie at Syon Park,
It looked utterly sensational! I took B&C into The Great Conservatory before all of the guests to have a moment to see the space in all its glory, and they stood in front of the cake and said “it was perfect, just like I imagined”. They were truly blown away!
Thank you for everything Louise, your professionalism along the journey, your lovely manner, your attention to detail and the finest delivery and execution of their perfect cake on Saturday!
Thank you again Louise, you are a dream to work with and your cakes are sensational.”
