BTS: Epic 3-day wedding celebration at the stunning Somerley House

I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Alana & Andrew’s amazing wedding team recently for their epic 3 day celebrations at the gorgeous Somerley House in the New Forest. As a recommended supplier at this gorgeous venue, I just love receiving enquiries here. Somerley is the most magnificently grand stately home and has been featured in acclaimed TV shows such as The Crown and Bridgeton.

Alana and Andrew made the most of this venue with their 3 day celebration starting with a pre-wedding dinner in the Great Hall of Somerley on the Friday evening. A long trestle table, beautifully styled with lots of stunning low floral arrangements and plentiful candles gave the perfect elevated dining experience and intimate atmosphere.

On the day of the wedding itself, whilst Alana & Andrew were saying their vows in a beautifully traditional church nearby (featuring a stunning Suzanne Neville dress, some very smart groomsmen and a gorgeous floral arch), the grounds of Somerley were a hive of activity. A 2 story marquee was being erected in the private gardens with lots of preparations and details being finalised. The wedding breakfast area featured several long trestle tables lined with candles and bud vase floral arrangements in neutral shades with pops of peach and pink. Opulent chandeliers hung from the marquee ceiling and were adorned with lush green foliage for a beautifully elevated and organic feel. Down on the ground floor of the marquee, the evening entertainment area was being set up – an incredibly impressive dance floor, lighting and stage were being installed in preparation for what was set to be an epic party later on in the day! Once set up, this area would be hidden behind a privacy curtain to later be unveiled to guests after the wedding breakfast.

I set up Alana and Andrew’s elegant cake in the wedding breakfast area of the marquee for their guests to admire whilst they were dining. Their cake stood tall with 4 all white tiers – 2 of which featured white floral embossing for a delicate and feminine feel. I also embossed the couples monogram from their wedding stationery in gold, adding a touch of opulence. To complete the design, a generous arrangement of sugar flowers in blush peach and pinks to compliment their florals, sat between the middle tiers and covered the top tier to create a truly show-stopping and unforgettable design.

Having recently seen the preview images from the couples photographer, I can’t wait to share some more from this beautiful wedding soon!
