As a wedding cake artist, I love nothing more than being able to add delicious treats to be served alongside a wedding cake. Dessert tables have become a popular trend in recent years as a way to offer your guests a selection of sweet treats in a beautifully styled way.
When I first came up with the concept of this shoot, I wanted to inspire couples and show them what could be achieved when it comes to offering a dessert table to their guests. Not only did I want to show the abundance of sweet treat options that are available but I also wanted to showcase how a dessert table can be beautifully styled to become a real focal point of decadence and prettiness at a wedding.
At the heart of the concept for this shoot was delicate Wedgewood china and it’s strong association with floral patterns and blue tones. As such, I created an array of elegant and intricate sweet treats such as chocolate covered geohearts, meringue kisses and macarons. All items reflected the colour palette and floral styling with hints of soft blue tones and detailed floral patterns.
Having the talented Hannah from HB Wedding design ensured that my dessert table would also be beautifully styled. Hannah has a wonderful eye for pulling all of the styling elements from a concept together seamlessly. Using a beautiful glass gold display unit with romantic candles, pretty bud vases, petite dishes, as well as modern acrylic signs, Hannah ensured the dessert table exuded the opulence and luxuriousness that I was looking to achieve.
I hope this blog inspires you to consider a beautiful, delicious dessert table for your luxury wedding!
