Beautiful destination wedding at Syon Park, London with contemporary cake

Brittany & Charlie’s beautiful English wedding in a historic London venue took place last October and was one of the highlights of my year. This lovely couple travelled all the way from America with their guests to tie the knot at the stunning Syon Park, the London residence of the Duke of Northumberland.

Their ceremony took place in the beautiful Great Hall in Syon House with gorgeous floral arrangements by their florist Emma Soulsby framing the couple at the end of the aisle. They then posed for pictures outside of the Great Conservatory with the Autumn sun shining down on them.

Their reception took place in the Great Conservatory and was an elegant affair! Gorgeous floral arrangements in deep red and white with an abundance of foliage were dotted around the room and took centre stage at each of the tables.

Brittany & Charlies wedding cake was inspired by ‘The Soul’ design from A Cake Story. I adapted the design to feature extra tall tiers for a truly unforgettable design that complimented the grandeur of their venue. An all white design, each tier featured a partial wraparound ‘sleeve’ that created a sense of movement in the design. After feasting on a wedding breakfast made by their caterers, Caper & Berry, Brittany & Charlie offered their guests the wedding cake as their dessert and treated them to a Raspberry & White chocolate cake with a delicate Swiss Meringue buttercream filling.

Following their reception meal, Brittany and Charlie and their guests danced the night away to tunes performed by their band, The Function Band.
