Wedding favours are a long held tradition at weddings where as dessert tables are a relatively new concept. So what are they and should you have them at your wedding?

Luxury Wedding favours

Wedding favours were introduced centuries ago, given to guests as a way of thanking them for attending their wedding and have always been a traditionally sweet gift. They are a perfect opportunity to tie in your wedding colours and styling with many options to choose from. For example:

  • Sugar biscuits. Possibly the most versatile in terms of personalisation, these biscuits are soft, crumbly and sweet, and can be shaped, iced and decorated in so many unique and different ways. There is even the option to have each of your guests name embossed on their biscuit so it acts as a placecard aswell!
  • Macarons. These delicious bite-sized morsels are a perfect little treat for your wedding guests and can be beautifully packaged so guests can take them home to enjoy after your wedding if they prefer.
  • Cakesickles. Possibly the most adorable cake creation to come out of the baking world in recent years, a cakesicle is a miniature cake on a stick. Beautifully moist sponge is formed into either a traditional ice-lolly shape or a heart, then coated in melted chocolate. These can be beautifully elevated and sophisticated with design options, colour schemes and embellishments.

Luxury Dessert Tables

Dessert tables are a great way of offering your guests a variety of options and can be beautifully designed to co-ordinate with your colour theme and wedding styling. They can be served alongside your wedding cake or with the right styling, can hold their own!

Consider how your dessert table will be displayed to have maximum impact. Think differing heights of display, beautiful signage so that your guests know what each item is, decorative elements such as flowers and candles to name a few.
