Romantic micro wedding at Wotton House with floral wedding cake

You couldn’t get a much more intimate, micro wedding than Michelle & Lance’s beautiful Wotton house wedding this Summer. The couple were joined by just 4 of their closest friends and family in an elopement style ceremony and reception.

And although this wedding may have been small in numbers, it had just as much of an impact as a larger scale wedding. The couple had thoughtfully planned everything from the floral arch that would provide the backdrop to their vows, to the beautiful table setting for their wedding breakfast, to the elegant 3 tiered wedding cake that tied in so beautifully with the colour palette for their day.

The stunning vaulted ceiling and grand pillars provided a dramatic back drop for their vows with a beautiful floral arch made up of gypsophila and hydrangeas from the talented Lynsey at 2 Little Birds. This stunning floral display was then repurposed for the couples reception dinner, creating a floral canopy over their wedding breakfast table.

Further arrangements of gysophila and hydrangea were dotted around the floor of the table like floral clouds, accompanied by large glass pillar candles to add to the romantic setting.

The couple opted for a 3 tier, modern cake design with a marbled stone effect texture on their bottom tier for a contemporary twist, with fresh flowers in their peach tones cascading through the top and middle tier to add a softness to the design. Their wedding cake stood proud on a tall acrylic plinth and took centre stage in the space in front of the beautiful fireplace at Wotton Hall.

This wedding is proof that you don’t need a large number of guests for a wedding to be beautiful, impactful and memorable!
